I was already 3 years into the ecosystem now but never got any other certification than my last one. Few months later, I cleared my developer certification. Few weeks into the job, I was asked to get Developer (legacy) certification, so I started preparing for that (that time getting Platform Developer II was a coveted thing). Coming from Java world definitely helped me to quickly pick up the platform and the basics of VF pages and Apex. Slowly I started bringing my Java experience and was excited to see how that still can be utilized while exploring the vast Salesforce technology stack. I reluctantly said Yes and then went through the interview process and finally landed with a job in another organization - out of my comfort zone! It all started on a small Tea Shop and a casual conversation with one of my senior ex-colleagues in Kolkata, India, when he asked me what I was doing these days and if I wanted to get into Cloud Technologies. Never knew that I will one day venture in a path unknown.

I was coming in with some experience in J2EE world and always looked myself as an okay Java resource who can solve problems.

I joined the Salesforce ecosystem way back in April 2012. Here I am sharing my experiences in this certification journey of mine and some tips on how you can achieve the same. While the journey to being a Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is still a bit far but this journey of getting the other two architect certifications did not come in a short time either. And I definitely feel happy to be certified as Salesforce Application & System Architect. Today (May 10, 2019) I cleared my System Architect Certification, I had earlier (Feb 14, 2019) cleared the Application Architect Certification.
